Turncoat Grip is the diametric opposite of the Forsaken Pinky<\/a> grip. “Turncoat” refers to the middle finger, which defects from the gang of three. The turncoat deserts its post of manning the top chopstick with the tripod hold<\/a> per Standard Grip<\/a>. It then joins the ring finger and the pinky, to secure the bottom chopstick instead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast, Forsaken Pinky has the ring finger leave its post of supporting the bottom stick. The ring finger then joins the gang of three, to operate the top chopstick as a gang of four.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turncoat Grip is nearly indistinguishable from the Flexible Middle variant section<\/a> of Finger Pistol<\/a> grip. They differ only in how the middle finger supports the bottom chopstick. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
